Years ago… I started my professional career as a Restaurant General Manager, where I was responsible for guiding daily business operations. My job included supervising and training 80 full- and part-time staff, purchasing equipment and supplies, and scheduling.

I also conducted regional marketing operations and maintained equipment for clients. Working in roles Like this I learned how essential it is to pay attention to details and to understand the importance of effective communication. These skills have been invaluable in my writing career as I strive to craft clear and effective messaging for my clients.

After my tenure as a Restaurant General Manager, I moved into the role of Lead Technical Instructor.

I was charged with providing exemplary instruction to 5-30 students in a classroom setting, helping them achieve MCSE, Network+, and Linux certifications.

I installed, configured, and maintained all IT operating systems on campus and the college’s testing center. I also improved local resource access by introducing and maintaining a Samba server. My experience in this role helped me develop a knack for breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable terms. I’ve applied this skill to my writing by creating content that is engaging, informative, and easy to read.

A more recent role was as a Web and Technical Support Professional. In this role, I spearheaded the design and execution of creative business solutions for a diverse client base, navigating effectively within Linux and Windows technical and network environments.

I offered web design and development using WordPress, and performed a wide range of project management operations, including schedules and budgets, as well as liaising with clients and 3rd party vendors.

I maintained production web and mail servers, along with providing targeted support for open-source and related environments. I also constructed, installed, and configured custom computer and server hardware and designed and implemented LANs.

My experience in this role taught me how to be detail-oriented and better at working collaboratively. Skills like these, allow me to work effectively with you, producing high-quality content.
